  • Pilates has been defined as stretch with strength and control. Pilates is more than exercise in that it not only makes the body stronger and more flexible, it teaches the body control which in turn strengthens the brain. It is a system of movements that incorporate apparatus that help to align the structure, strengthen weak muscles to bring you balance and stamina. It is technique so precise that results stay with you forever. It has been called the fountain of youth for the gift of mobility and robustness that it will impart.

  • Form fitting workout wear that allows unobstructed movement is best. It is paramount that all unmentionables are covered and one feels comfortable and at ease.

  • Shoes are not worn in studio (we have cubbies to store them during your session). Socks with a grip on the sole are required to protect the feet and keep the feet from sliding on the equipment. An excellent quality grip sock will be available for purchase in studio ranging in price from $18-$22.
